Dub Fx

Dub FX is the epitome of independent music. In 2006, Melbourne born Benjamin Stanford set off to Europe with a simple plan; live in a van, travel the world and street perform. Fast forward, Dub FX has sold over a hundred thousand records, rocked major festivals all over the world, racked up 150+ million youtube views and organically acquired 600,000 Facebook fans. All completely independently.

Sahida Apsara

Sahida Apsara is an Australian poet, songwriter, rapper, dancer and arts educator. Born in Singapore, coming from a half Indian/half Malay background, Sahida travelled the world from the age of 20 before settling in Australia 7 years later.

Since then, she has established herself in the arts community, receiving the Victorian Government Multicultural Award for Excellence for her work in community-building through the arts. She founded a fundraising initiative supporting disenfranchised women locally and worldwide and curates all-female poetry events in Melbourne. Sahida has studied Indian classical dance and was also the recipient of the UNESCO grant to learn poetry in New York. Sahida Apsara has teamed up with legendary record producer DUB FX to record an eight-track album of original music and poetry. Her music speaks of her travels, self-empowerment, positivity and social justice.

EZ Riser

EZ Riser is the solo project of Sohail Arora pushing cutting edge electronic music with a heavy emphasis on bass. As one half of Bay Beat Collective (BBC), India’s oldest bass crew, Sohail Arora has been pushing bass music for over 8 years now. He has played a big role in building the bass music scene in India as an artist and a promoter. His solo project EZ Riser aims to showcase newer forms of electronic music with particular focus on beats, footwork, drum & bass, trap, hip hop and bass house. A self confessed music geek and influenced by artists such as DJ Rashad, Clap Clap, Zinc, Machinedrum, Addison Groove, Om Unit, Stray, Romare, Four Tet, Flako, J Dilla, Kendrick Lamar, Nicolas Jaar and many more, EZ Riser’s spectrum of music is highly versatile.
